We are still waiting on word back from Apple about a license for our company to develop for the iPod/iPhone. Everyone seems to be jumping into iPod development. This slows down the application process. I just hope we get contacted sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately there are so many developers out there who would make crappy products and that would reflect poorly on Apple. So as part of the licensing process they check out the company and their site and whatnot. This keeps their quality at a decent level. You can read the details about it here. Lots of man-hours involved there.

Do not worry! Just because we don’t have a company wide license yet, does not mean we cannot test on the hardware! We have individual licenses already and we have been testing our apps on the hardware. I look forward to posting “Yay! Apple issued us our license!”.

Hooray! We’re off to a start on this whole business thing. Eric and I are really excited about what we’re doing and can’t wait to get our stuff out to you.

What We Are Doing
We decided to start a company together a long time ago and we had some neat ideas but most of them weren’t realistic. Eventually, we decided to just do what we were really good at: software. Specifically iPod/iPhone software. So expect some neat apps for your iPod Touch or iPhone in the near future. Some will be free, some will not.

Why?
Eric and I both have to pay for food, water, shelter, etc… so we needed a way to do that. In today’s booming economy (sarcasm, something hard to detect on the internet) finding a job can be hard. Because of that we figured it would be more likely that we could make our own money and also be more happy doing it. In addition to needing money eventually, we can make some awesome apps for the iPod/iPhone and we think you’ll think they’re awesome too.

We do have a longterm plan for the life of this business but that is beyond the scope of this post. We’re looking at getting started before discussing our dreams (and I can talk for hours). HOORAY!!! It’s happening!
